John Arthur Ginter, a Short Biography

My grandfather's name was John Arthur Ginter. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 17, 1917. He grew up in Illinois and graduated at Knox College in Galesburg. He majored in economics and ended up moving to Michigan where he married my grandmother June Menninger & landed a job with Ford Motor Company. He worked with them for 39 years . Throughout his life he lived in several homes. His first home after marriage was on Coyle Avenue in Detroit. Shortly after moving in he entered the US Army Air Forces. Photo shown is John in uniform with his mother-in-law, Gertrude Menninger. His spearation qualificaiton record featured but not limited to military occupational assignings: 7 MOS in Aviation Cadet 629 and 4 MOS of OLT 629. His date of separation was 9 NOV 1945, Truax Fld Madison Wisconsin
